On Friday, November 4, intertribal warfare erupts.

How the competition works:
Upon arrival, your home tribe will be disbanded. Then, you’ll be placed into new teams of 10-12 with students from more than 20 universities across Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

Our corporate sponsor will provide the assignment and your team will be taken to a local agency, design firm or in-house marketing department to concept out your campaign — but don’t expect the natives to help.

You’ll have eight hours (yes, eight) to fulfill the challenge, which entails submitting a creative solution, along with marketing and media plans and a video of your presentation in time for judging that evening.

The tribal council will announce the finalists and winning tribe on Saturday.

Besides getting great, real-world experience before you graduate, here’s what you’ll learn:

1.       Teamwork (with absolute strangers)
2.       Working under short deadlines (as if there are other kinds)
3.       Industry trends from professionals (who can’t help you create your solution)
4.       How to network with professionals (bring your résumé and portfolio for job opportunities)
