– October 9, 2008) The Greater Houston Partnership has elected Larry
Atherton, President and CFO of VT2 Studios to the Partnership’s Economic
Development Advisory Committee (EDAC). EDAC directs and supports
the Partnership’s efforts to market Houston, recruit and expand business,
create new jobs and improve our business image. This committee takes
economic development positions, provides marketing assistance and shares
information on market trends and issues. VT2 Studios serves as the Creative
Partner for the Greater Houston Partnership for the second consecutive
year, and added additional services as a Strategic Partner for 2008.
The Greater Houston Partnership will benefit from having year-round
access to VT2 Studios’ key personnel for strategic consulting, production
and staging expertise, production and staging cost control ideas, alignment
of deliverable creation across all GHP opportunities and events, assistance
in related sponsor acquisition as well as VT2’s regular participation
in high-level creative content development, event planning and continuous
improvement dialogues to help ensure GHP’s short and long term success.
Atherton brings expertise
in finance, administration, contracts, strategic planning and legal
functions that have been instrumental to VT2's business success. With
more than 20 years experience in international finance management and
capital ventures, Atherton directs and manages VT2's worldwide sales
and marketing functions, finances, administration, investor relations,
legal affairs and is actively involved in operations and strategic company
growth.
