Cleo Franklin is the Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Planning for Mahindra USA, Inc. Cleo joined Mahindra in August 2011 and is responsible for leading the company’s strategy, marketing, branding, product and channel development activities for North America. Franklin’s roots in agriculture are linked to three generations of farmers - he is the son of parents raised on Arkansas and Missouri farms and is well aware of the challenges and opportunities that farmers face on a daily basis.
Franklin’s leadership experience in the agricultural industry spans over two decades, including President of Franklin Strategic Solutions, his strategic planning consulting firm and at New Holland Agriculture, where he served as Senior Director, North America Sales & Operations and on New Holland’s Global Leadership team. His career also includes 21 years at John Deere, where he held numerous strategic, finance, sales and marketing leadership roles, including Strategic Marketing Manager - Government and National Accounts, Strategy Manager - Large Property Owner Segment, and Group Brand Marketing Manager for Consumer Products and Utility Tractors.
He has served on the YMCA, Science and Engineering Association (SEA) Board of Directors and currently serves on Mahindra’s International Marketing Board, FFA National Sponsors Board of Directors and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) AG CONNECT Management Committee.
The recipient of an Executive MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina, Franklin also received his Bachelor of Science degree from Morningside College in Sioux City Iowa. Cleo and his wife Lois have 4 wonderful children.
