The Houston School of Advertising and Ad 2 announce a new partnership and joint education series for the Houston design, marketing, and advertising community.

HOUSTON, TX—The Houston School of Advertising (HSA) and Ad 2 Houston are pleased to announce a new joint initiative called The Know Better Education Series that will launch in February of this year.

The Know Better Education Series will offer a series of hands-on workshops and panel seminars for members of Ad 2 and others interested in learning more about creative, UX design, strategy, sales, and technology in the marketing and advertising industries. Workshops will be offered monthly with space limited to 20 attendees; seminars will be offered once per quarter with space limited to 75 attendees. The Know Better workshops will take place at the offices of the American Advertising Federation of Houston (AAF Houston), who generously donated the use of their space.

The Know Better series begins on February 17th with a workshop called “Killer Concepts: Ideation through Execution,” taught by Creative Director and HSA founder, Matt Walsh. Future workshops will cover topics such as coding, copywriting, search engine marketing, UX, and other areas. A seminar about career growth and leadership is planned for April.

“We all have to keep our skills nice and sharp, no matter whom we are,” Walsh says, “and there’s not really a better way to do that than by spending a few hours with Houston’s top creatives, strategists, and technologists.”

Current Ad 2 President, Natali Villanueva adds, “We’ve always wanted to offer ongoing education that is tailored to our member demographic—working with HSA to design the workshops was a natural fit.”
