AAF-Houston to Honor Leslie L. Alexander at Trailblazer Gala
Each year the Trailblazer Award is given to an outstanding
Houston business professional who exemplifies the "Made in Houston"
spirit and has built companies and organizations through effective
communications and responsible corporate citizenship.
Leslie Alexander assumed ownership of the Houston Rockets on July 30, 1993, and over the years has devoted his efforts to making his teams champions, both on the basketball court and in the community. Charitable giving has always been a way of life for Alexander. In 1995, Alexander established the Clutch City Foundation with the goal of providing help, hope and inspiration to those who might otherwise be forgotten. Through the Clutch City Foundation, the Houston Rockets are involved in a multitude of community service and charity fund-raising programs. The Clutch City Foundation funds operate comprehensive programs benefitting thousands of children.The Gala will be held, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. There will be many sporting surprises in store that evening.
Proceeds from this black tie event support the work of
AAF-Houston, including educational support for local students seeking a
career in advertising and marketing.
